Oxford County Business Success Stories:

Coffee Culture

Coffee Culture
in Woodstock, ON is a classic café & eatery with a stylish décor and fresh food concept. The café specializes in the finest quality coffees, specialty coffees, and baked goods made fresh every day. The Woodstock location was the first Coffee Culture Café & Eatery opened under Obsidian Group in 2006. Now Obsidian has more than 50 Coffee Culture Cafés in Canada and the USA.

Following their arrival in Canada from Pakistan, Humaira Latifi & Tariq Ayoub first lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Three years (and a lot of research) later, Humaira & Tariq moved to Oxford County in 2010 to take over the running of Coffee Culture.

They found a comfortable life in Oxford right away:

“Oxford County is a very good place for new immigrants to start. It is a nice quiet and peaceful place to live, the schools are excellent and there is convenience of every daily need. We are only 50km from Kitchener/Waterloo, Cambridge & London and we enjoy traveling to these cities to get more flavours of different cultures. The weather is great here. Last, but not least, there are no traffic jams.”

The couple is pleased with the business’ sales growth and performance over the two years since they have been running it, and are projecting even more growth in the near future.
